Operating since 1987, Film Ireland is an independent outlet dedicated to celebrating Irish film and is a go-to destination for all things related to the world of cinema and film on the island of Ireland. Over the years, Film Ireland has not only provided comprehensive coverage of film news, festivals, reviews; covering everything from huge international blockbusters to micro-budget indigenous film, but has also played a significant role in supporting and promoting the industry. Film academics Roddy Flynn and Pat Brereton described Film Ireland as “a full-fledged debating space devoted to the politics of film support and film culture in Ireland.” Now a Rotten-Tomatoes approved digital outlet, the Film Ireland Podcast features weekly discussions with filmmakers and industry creatives with over 300 episodes.
