BOOK NOW - TICKET SALES END ON FRIDAY 2ND AUGUST!

Mums: When was the last time you had time to yourself to truly relax, rest and replenish? Our guess is a long time ago. Have you been craving a space to reflect on and process your experience of motherhood so far? Would you like a weekend of radical self-care just for you?

If the answer is yes to the above, this weekend retreat promises to be just the tonic for you.

Being a mother can be overwhelming and exhausting

Despite the rewards, the demands of motherhood can be relentless, leaving us mothers feeling depleted, frazzled, overstretched.

Added to the mix, we guess that your life has changed 360º and you have become disconnected from your previous sense of self and are struggling to forge a new sense of self that integrates being a mother as well as elements of your previous identity.

Treat yourself to an all-inclusive nurturing escape tailored for mums in the beautiful hills of Wicklow

Facilitated by Leigh Brady & Karen Jeffares, both yoga & meditation teachers as well as mums themselves, this retreat offers mums a chance to immerse themselves in 2 full days and 1 night of deep rest, relaxation and replenishment through yoga, meditation, sound healing and a safe space for reflection on your experience of motherhood so far. Participants will be treated to delicious home-cooked vegetarian food, with access to an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, nature trails, massage and other therapies. Places limited to 15 participants. No prior experience in yoga or meditation required.

*For mums who prefer not to leave baby overnight, there are 4 spaces available to bring your baby and a partner/minder along for an extra 120 EUR, sharing a double bed. Bring a travel cot and baby food. For babies aged 12 months and younger.

TEAM

LEIGH BRADY - Leigh started her yoga and meditation journey almost 20 years ago in Spain when she discovered and fell in love with Kundalini yoga. After practising intensively for several years, she completed a yoga teacher training in Colombia in 2013 and started to teach locally. Wishing to learn other forms of meditation and deepen her practice, she has since participated in several Vipassana retreats in the USA and Colombia and a self-guided meditation retreat in Portugal. She returned to Ireland in 2014 and became a proud mum in 2018. Recently she has been teaching mindfulness meditation classes in Dublin Wellness Centre. She also has over 10 years experience in facilitating professional and personal group work. She considers herself a lifelong student but is happy to step into the role of teacher to humbly share her knowledge, tools and insights with fellow open-minded and open-hearted beings.

KAREN JEFFARES - Karen has been practising yoga for over 10 years. She finds maintaining a regular practice brings a sense of calm and clarity to all areas of her life. All the more important now that she has become a mother - Karen is interested in bringing the benefits of yoga to other Mums and Mums-to-be and in exploring how yoga influences her own experience of motherhood as she embarks on this journey. She is a qualified prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher and has facilitated mindful meditation sessions for mums, dads and carers in her hometown of Bray since the birth of her daughter in 2017. She is also an experienced facilitator in peace education and global citizenship education and has extensive experience working with groups around communication skills, cooperation and teamwork.

FAQ

What should I bring to the retreat?

  • Comfortable clothing for yoga and meditation
  • Outdoor clothing for all weather types
  • Hiking or walking shoes, if you wish to explore the grounds and/or go on the optional nature walks.
  • Bathing suit and towel to enjoy the natural pool and hot tub.
  • Journal.
  • Your own wine, if you wish to enjoy a glass or two on Saturday evening (wine glasses provided)

I don’t feel comfortable leaving my baby overnight, can I bring her/him along?

The retreat has been designed as a one night get-away with a full weekend of activities to make it easier for mothers to be able to take the time away from their little one. However, we understand that some mothers may not feel comfortable leaving their child and would like to have them nearby. If your child is 12 months or younger and you have a friend/partner who is willing to come along and take care of your child while you take part in the sessions, we have 4 spaces available to facilitate this. The person would pay for their bed space and their meals (120 euro) and you would be able to check in on/feed your baby between sessions. If your baby requires a cot you would need to bring a travel cot as we have none on site. Please contact the organizers if you have any more questions about this.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?

Yes, as long as you contact us via email: sintoniayogameditation@gmail.com at least one week before the retreat. Please provide the name, email and contact number of the person you are transferring your ticket to. The new participant must contact us directly before the retreat. If for some reason, the ticket is not used, it is not refundable at this point.

What is the cancellation policy?

  • Cancellations up to 1 month before the event will receive a full refund less any credit card or processing fees.
  • Cancellations less than 1 month but more than 2 weeks before the retreat will receive a 50% refund less any credit card or processing fees.
  • Cancellations less than 2 weeks before the workshop date are non-refundable. You may transfer the ticket onto a friend at least 1 week before the retreat by emailing us at sintoniayogameditation@gmail.com

Does the retreat cater for participants with dietary restrictions?

Anyone with dairy or gluten intolerance/allergies can be catered for. Food will be freshly made and vegetarian, with many ingredients from the venue’s home garden and farm (e.g. eggs, vegetables, honey). Participants with other dietary restrictions can be catered for at an additional cost of 25 EUR per person. Please let the organisers know in advance of any dietary requirement.

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
