IDEN virtual cuppa - after hours

From Free

Description

#IDEN virtual cuppa after-hours

IRISH DOUGHNUT ECONOMICS NETWORK

After hours, an evening time cuppa for people to meet and chat around Doughnut Economics. It is part of IDEN action to connect people thinking like a 21st Century economist and seed the idea for action across Ireland.
Our virtual cuppas started in September and ran Friday mornings weekly until December 2020. That did not suit everyone who wanted to connect around DEAL. Living the principles of open, connected, distributed by design and in the commons, we are opening up opportunities to connect. This after-hours, an evening time cuppa is open to anyone that wants to attend in Ireland or across the globe.
We really enjoyed meeting others in the book club so we'd like more of that.

IDEN respectfully request you join DEAL if you want to attend because*

What is a virtual cuppa - after hours?

In the days before COVID if we wanted to have a chat or find out more about something, we'd have gone to a meetup, a networking event, attended a seminar. These days unless you live in New Zealand we are virtual so the virtual cuppa after hours is a bring yourself and your choice of beverage to an online meetup. In this case a zoom session. It's a relaxed facilitated session for people to meet others, connect, listen, learn, share, exchange knowledge, explore how to get into action with Doughnut Economics.

What will we be doing for 90 minutes?

We will do a quick round-robin of everyone introducing themselves, an introduction of IDEN, then we co-create the rest of our time together and go with the energy typically a lively open discussion follows. If more than 25 people attend breakout rooms will be an option.
You might be curious about a thriving society where we live within the planetary boundaries with a strong societal foundation, then doughnut economics is a way to think about how to get there, DEAL and IDEN are supporting us to figure out the how do we get into action!

If you are interested in a space to hang out, listen, talk & meet others interested in thinking like a 21st Century economist grab a ticket.
If after you register for a ticket and it turns out for whatever reason you can't make the event, just cancel your ticket, as there is usually a waiting list.

Details of the zoom call will be sent to you after registration.

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
