About Mini Musos:

My name is Karen McMahon. I have a Business and Languages degree from DCU as well as a FETAC Level 5 certificate in Early

Childhood Development. Having a love for children and a passion for music I wanted to create a programme for the community that incorporated both these concepts Music & Children. So, I created Mini Musos for children of 6mths to 7yrs.

Children learn and grow developmentally in a stimulating environment. Mini Musos provides the basis to promote this development by creating a fun and safe environment for the children to explore and discover new things in the comfort of having their primary carer by their side. The programme encourages the parent and child to interact through music and movement during the class. This promotes a unique bond between the parent and child as all activities and songs can be easily integrated into the childs daily routine in the home.

The programme aims to stimulate the 5 main areas of development in children:

  • Physical
  • Intellectual
  • Language
  • Emotional
  • Social

Through the use of repetition, colours, sounds, percussion, music and movement child development will be stimulated whilst you and your child are having fun!
