The Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol is delighted to present 'Date Night with Niamh Kavanagh and Paul Megahey on Sat 20th February 2027 at 8.30pm.
Date Night is an acoustic evening of songs and stories. Niamh shares the stage with her guitarist husband Paul and they wind their way through the joy of music in their lives, and celebrate the key moments of Niamh’s career.
Niamh has recorded many albums and been part of numerous collaborations, in particular lending her vocals to one of the best selling soundtrack albums “the Commitments”. Her prominent role on the film's soundtrack served as a massive stepping stone, leading her to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest just two years later when she sang "In Your Eyes" to clinch the second of a record three consecutive wins by Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Since then, Niamh has toured all over the world and is equally at home in small intimate venues to large stadiums. Niamh continues to appear on many TV programmes and toured all over the world, as a solo artist and as a member of ‘The Illegals’, a highly successful 7 piece band that pays homage to the wonderful music of The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.
In between touring and performing, 2026 saw Niamh competing in Dancing With The Stars in which Niamh loved the challenge taking on a brand new skill and discovered the joy of dancing.
Music is still at the heart of everything that drives Niamh, and she is excited for what is ahead in her 60’s. Her stunning voice and sparkling wit make her a fan favourite in all she does.
Date Night is a must not only for Eurovision fans, but also for anyone who has loves live music and wants to hear about life on the road for Niamh, one of Irelands greatest vocalists.
Tickets are 30e and due to the intimate nature of the venue, tickets are limited. Niamh will be on stage at 8.30pm and doors open at 8pm.
Strictly no refunds except in case of show cancellation and we do not offer resales. Please note the bar will be closed during the performance and does not have credit card facilities.
